Raffia is a natural fiber derived from the leaves of the raffia palm tree, which is native to tropical regions of Africa and Madagascar. It is prized for its exceptional strength, flexibility, and silky, smooth texture.

Our hat sizes are created to be one size fits all. In general, the hat covers medium to large head sizes. Our hats will come with an adjustable inner band to help with
fitting and smaller head size.

To keep your raffia hat and bag looking their best, store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading and brittleness. If they become misshapen due to travel or storage, use steam to gently reshape them—simply hang the hat in a steamy bathroom or use a garment steamer held at a safe distance to soften the fibers. For the bag, stuff it with clean tissue paper or a small towel to help it hold its shape while it dries or during storage. While the raffia is warm and pliable, gently mold the item back to its original form with your hands and allow it to air dry completely. Avoid ubmerging raffia in water, as this can weaken the natural fibers.

STEP 1

Before packing, ensure your hat is completely dry. If it is damp, allow it to dry fully—packing a damp hat may cause it to lose its shape.

STEP 2

Place your hat in the provided cotton-linen pouch. The pouch helps protect the raffia fibers from snagging or rubbing against other items in your luggage. Our pouch allows breathability—avoid plastic bags, as trapped moisture can damage raffia.

STEP 3

Pack the hat in a rigid part of your suitcase, such as the center, surrounded by soft items like clothing to provide cushioning. Avoid placing heavy items on top of it.

STEP 4

Our raffia hat is designed to be folded, you may gently fold or roll it. Once unrolled, it will return to its original condition or simply hang the hat in a steamy bathroom or use a handheld steamer held at a safe distance to soften the fibers. Although our hats are designed with travel in mind, we recommend against storing them rolled for extended periods.
